Coherent Topological Polariton Laser

Topological concepts have been applied to a wide range of fields in order successfully describe the emergence robust edge modes that are unaffected by scattering or disorder. In photonics, indications lasing from topologically protected with improved overall laser characteristics were observed. Here, we study exciton-polariton microcavity traps arranged one-dimensional Su-Schrieffer-Heeger lattice and form topological defect mode which unequivocally observe highly coherent polariton lasing. Additionally, confirm excitonic contribution applying an external magnetic field. These systematic experimental findings high temporal coherence meticulously reproduced combination generalized Gross-Pitaevskii model Lindblad master equation model. Thus, using comparatively simple SSH geometry, able control lasing, allowing for deeper understanding effects on microlasers.
